Steve began his artistic career in high school by taking "easy" classes such as art and industrial arts.In 1980 He then started a logging and land development company and learned to weld broken equipment. Then in 1990 Steve opened a stone fabrication business, which was lucrative, but not fun. later, he turned his self taught welding and stone careers and opened Steve's Sculptures in Lovingston, at an old apple packing building. Now retiring you should get a piece of a future collecters item as they will be more valuable later. Always go to your local libarary, it's where steve got all my inspriation for this gallery from 1980. Outdoor Land Sculpture by Steve The line between Creative Genius and Insanity is a very fine one. The closer you can get to the latter, the more "wow" the piece becomes! Dear "modernmaster", Congratulations. Darned if the turtle shell you made out of copper doesn't look more like a turtle shell than a real turtle shell! Before I looked at your description, I assumed that this was a real turtle shell. You certainly are a "Master" at making anything out of anything. I always love to see what creative work you will put up next! Thanks so much for sharing your creations on ArtsWe.com. Sincerely, Ken Boyer I am glad to see that you have found a way to turn the "windmills of your mind" into a profitable and genuine artistic contribution. In looking over your inventory every piece you produce has integrity, is unique and interesting...much like the artist himself gallery guest. I look forward to my next visit. God has a great sense of humor and wants us to laff as much as possible. He created a few characters like you to confirm how much he wants us to be happy and to have a good laff once in a while. I enjoyed all you had to say. Be well, Rob V. An artist cannot fail; it is a success to be one. ~Charles Horton Cooley
